The Coffee Series is especially close to my heart. Landmarks often are reminders of experiences, memories, travel, or home. I wanted to highlight the feelings of these moments and positive connections in communities. Whether it's somewhere you are seeing for the first time or the hundredth, there are beautiful things that surround us in this world. I chose coffee for this series because I wanted the medium to be from a small business somewhat near where these different locations are. For me, the Ohio coffee paintings are so much more than paintings of landmarks, they are pieces of home. They represent potential, progress, and community.
